capacitors

As we all know, capacitor is an electrical device which has 2 conducting plates separated by an insulator. The most interesting fact is that it never accepts an external electrical field, but the insulator in it establishes its own static electric field just coz of the potential difference created by the positive and negative charges on two plates placed in parallel to each other.it blocks dc and let only ac which guides in smoothing power supplies.Realtime example is resonant circuits in radios which filter the unwanted signals and pass the required frequency.
Hi friends,i guess the content would be quite useful. If it doesn seem to be precise, please let me know:)
